The Peng Piano Academy is a summer piano festival designed for well-motivated piano students up to age 18 to learn in a noncompetitive, musically intensive and nourishing environment. Our program promotes a wide array of understanding on fine musicianship, and in particular, is driven to achieve a high-level of pianism.
The campsite features a formal concert hall and other fine facilities. Its tree-lined and secluded location provides a peaceful surrounding for the young musicians to learn and reflect upon their designated musical elements.
Students will engage in a week-long program of masterclasses, private lessons, ensembles, lectures, and workshops given by collegiate faculty and distinguished artists all over the world. Programs also include faculty recitals, fieldtrips and visits to other musical establishments in the Bay Area. All participants will perform in the students concert on the last day.
